SubstrateSource Lilaeopsis brasiliensis ‘Micro Sword’ is a popular foreground plant that grows to form a grass-like aquatic “carpet.” This plant has a thicker leaf structure than its cousin, L. mauritiana. We recommend using a fine gravel, or soil/sand, in order to keep this plant from being uprooted. Once established and showing new, outward growth, trim as needed to promote a denser, compact foreground. CO2 supplementation may not be required, but we do recommended it for best results.
